Therapy
CHILD THERAPY (6-12YO)
Is your child feeling sad, frustrated, anxious or lonely? Have they mentioned feeling worried about school or fitting in with friends? While these things can be a normal part of growing up, you don’t have to wait until things get worse to get help for your child. We can help identify what’s making things hard for your child, and alongside you guide them through their big feelings, teach them coping skills, and support them at home, school, and in the community.
Your child may benefit from therapy if your child is struggling with any of the following:
Sadness, frustration, anger, tantrums
Excessive worry, anxiety
Friendship difficulties
Difficulties transitioning from kindergarten to primary school
Inattention, restlessness, hyperactivity
Difficulties coping with grief and loss of loved ones (e.g., friends, family, pets)
Difficulties coping with parental separation, divorce or conflicts
ADOLESCENT THERAPY (13-19YO)
The teenage years can be really tough for both teens and their families. There’s a lot to navigate—balancing friendships, schoolwork, busy schedules, dealing with all the changes that come with puberty, figuring out who they are, and thinking about and planning for the future. Maybe you’ve noticed your teen struggling with anxiety, depression, trouble focusing, or difficulties with friends or school. No matter what’s going on, you don’t have to wait for things to get worse before getting help.
At ECG Psychology we offer a safe space for your teen to talk about their feelings, work through their thoughts, build coping skills, improve relationships, and handle the challenges that come with being a teenager.
Your teen may benefit from therapy if your teen is experiencing any of the following:
